The grown-up owns and manages the family account. Children select supervised profiles after the grown-up signs in.

Controls available to grown-ups

Create and remove child or adult profiles.
Protect grown-up actions with a PIN or supported device security.
Review and approve every friend connection.
Block or remove connections.
Control repeat access to daily minigames for child profiles.
Download a family-data backup or restore one.
Delete profiles or the entire family account.

Safer friend interactions

Friend codes are designed to be exchanged directly between families who already know one another. A connection does not become active until both grown-ups approve it. Children can visit a friend’s displayed cave, send virtual gifts, and select from positive prewritten messages. There is no free-form chat, photo upload, public search, or public feed.

Information choices

Use a nickname or first name rather than a child’s full legal name. Do not place contact details in profile names. Review friend requests with your child and only approve families you recognize.

Advertising is for grown-ups

Hatchling Habits may use the Meta Pixel only on a separate adult-facing sales or marketing website outside the app, to understand whether advertising reached interested parents. The Pixel is not included in the app code and does not run on sign-in or account pages, the Parent Dashboard, legal pages, or child-profile gameplay. Child-profile names, tasks, friends, messages, gifts, and game progress are not used for advertising.

The app uses essential sign-in and gameplay storage but no advertising cookies. Optional advertising cookies on the separate sales website can be declined without affecting the app. Grown-ups can read more in the Cookie Notice.
