Privacy Policy

Last updated · October 18, 2026

Hatchling Habits is a family habit-building service managed by a parent or guardian. Children use supervised profiles inside the grown-up’s family account and do not create accounts with their own email addresses.

Who operates Hatchling Habits

Hatchling Habits is operated in the United States by Eliana Elizabeth LLC. Contact us using the information at the end of this policy.

Information we collect

Who provides information

The grown-up creates and owns the family account, provides the account email address, and creates the supervised profiles used by the family. Children do not create independent accounts and are not asked to provide an email address, password, full legal name, home address, telephone number, precise location, photograph, or voice recording.

Grown-up account information

We collect a grown-up’s email address, authentication information, and session information to create, secure, and recover the family account. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not displayed to us.

Family profiles and game progress

A grown-up may create child or adult profiles. We store the nickname or first name chosen by the grown-up, profile role, dragon and avatar selections, tasks, completions, streaks, virtual crystals, inventory, equipped items, cave selections, pets, fictional travel destinations, passport rewards, and related game progress. We ask grown-ups not to use a child’s full legal name or contact information in a profile name or task.

Friend features

When families use Friends, we store profile display names, avatars, unique friend codes, parent-approved requests and connections, cave snapshots, virtual gifts, and prewritten messages. Children cannot type free-form messages. Both families must approve a friendship. Friend codes should only be shared with people the family knows.

Optional studio analytics

In Parent Dashboard → Security & Data, a grown-up can choose Allow data tracking after entering the parent PIN. This is off by default. When enabled, we record whether the account used the app or encountered a broad app or media failure on a UTC day. Records use a hashed account identifier and do not contain task contents, messages, photos, or health information. Only aggregate counts are shown in the private Eliana Elizabeth Studios dashboard. Turning the setting off stops optional collection and removes that account’s optional analytics records. Analytics records older than 90 days are removed when analytics next processes activity. Essential account, security, and progress storage continue independently.

Device-only information

Parent PIN information, device-credential identifiers, and private performance measurements are stored on the current device. They are not included in the family cloud save. Essential cookies and local storage keep sessions active, remember settings, and support reliable gameplay.

Subscription information

If a grown-up purchases Hatchling Habits Enchanted, Apple or Google processes the payment. RevenueCat receives and synchronizes purchase status, product, renewal, expiration, and entitlement information so the family account can receive the correct benefits. Hatchling Habits does not receive complete payment-card information.

Hatchling Habits does not request a device’s precise geographic location. Locations visited inside the game are fictional gameplay choices.

How we use information

  • Provide and synchronize the family’s profiles and game progress.
  • Authenticate grown-ups and protect parent-only controls.
  • Operate parent-approved friendships, gifts, and prewritten messages.
  • Prevent duplicate rewards, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
  • Maintain and improve reliability and security.

How we share information

We use service providers to operate Hatchling Habits, including Supabase for authentication and database services, RevenueCat to process and synchronize App Store and Google Play subscription status, and OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure for application hosting and media delivery. Providers may process information only as needed to provide their services and under their applicable agreements.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use child-profile data, tasks, game progress, friend information, messages, gifts, or in-app behavior for advertising or provide that information to Meta for advertising.

Advertising measurement and cookies

We may advertise Hatchling Habits to grown-ups using Meta. Any Meta Pixel will be placed only on a separate, adult-facing sales or marketing website outside the Hatchling Habits app. The Meta Pixel is not included in the app code and does not operate on app sign-in or account pages, the Parental Controls, legal pages, or child-profile gameplay.

On that separate sales or marketing website, the Pixel and its cookies may tell Meta that a grown-up’s browser visited a page or selected an adult-directed offer, together with browser, device, IP-address, cookie, and referral information. Meta may use this information to measure advertisements, limit repeated ads, create advertising audiences, and show more relevant advertisements in accordance with Meta’s own privacy terms. The sales website does not receive child-profile names, tasks, friend codes, messages, gifts, game progress, or other child-profile content from the app.

Essential cookies and local storage are required for security, sign-in, cloud saves, preferences, and gameplay. The app does not use advertising cookies. Optional advertising cookies on the separate sales website are not required to use Hatchling Habits. A grown-up may decline or later withdraw advertising-cookie permission without losing access to the service. See our Cookie Notice for details.

Children’s privacy and parent control

The grown-up account holder creates and manages family profiles, controls friend approvals, can download family data, and can delete profiles or the entire family account. Parent-only actions are protected by a PIN or supported device security. We aim to collect only the information needed to provide the service.

Advertising measurement remains outside the app. A parent may contact us to review, correct, or delete information associated with the family account.

Retention and deletion

We retain family account information while the account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and maintain the service. A grown-up can delete the family account in the Parental Controls or use our account-deletion page. Deletion removes the family’s cloud account records and authentication account, subject to limited retention required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup processing.

Security

We use access controls, household-scoped records, restricted database functions, authentication, parent gates, and other safeguards designed to protect family information. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

U.S. launch and policy changes

This policy is prepared for an initial United States launch. We will post updates here and revise the date above when our practices change. Material changes affecting children’s information may require new notice or parental consent.
